Toivo Burlin är doktorand i musikvetenskap vid Institutionen för kultur, estetik och medier, Göteborgs Universitet. Han skriver för närvarande på sin doktorsavhandling Det imaginära rummet: Praxis och audiell estetik i inspelningar av konstmusik i Sverige 1935-1980. I detta arbete undersöks gränsområdet mellan musikteknik/inspelningsteknologi, studiopraxis och (konst-)musikestetik, på fonograminspelningar med konstmusik i Sverige, ur musikhistoriska, teknikhistoriska och etnologiska perspektiv.

Mattias Lundberg (f. 1976) är kyrkomusiker och raritetsbibliotekarie på Statens Musiksamlingar. Under hösten 2006 lägger han fram sin doktorsavhandling The Tonus Peregrinus in the Polyphony of the Western Church vid University of Liverpool. Tidigare publikationer berör 1400- och 1500-talets musikteori, Josquin-generationens kontrapunktsundervisning samt de Gregorianska och Ambrosianska sångtraditionernas historiografi.

Erik Olsson är fil.mag och har studerat musikvetenskap, teoretisk filosofi och estetik i Göteborg, Stockholm och Uppsala.

Roger Solie holds a Ph.D. in composition from the University of Chicago. He has taught at several colleges and universities, as well as in public-school music programs; he is currently teaching in Madison, Wisconsin.

Gunnar Ternhag is professor of sound production at Dalarna University, Falun, Sweden and docent in musicology at Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland. He has published widely on ethnomusicological issues, especially about traditional music in the Nordic countries. He has served as the president of the Swedish Society of Musicology since 1997, and is a fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.

Ingrid Åkesson is an archivist at the Centre for Swedish Folk Music and Jazz Research in Stockholm and is writing her Ph.D. dissertation in musicology at Uppsala University on crative and re-creative aspects on contemporary vocal folk music in Sweden. She is the co-author, with her former colleague Margareta Jersild, of Folklig koralsång, a volume about traditional hymn-singing in Swedish-speaking areas. En musiketnologisk undersökning av bakgrunden, bruket och musiken (2000). Besides having been active in the folk music movement she has written articles on several aspects on traditional vocal music.
